Cat is paid money to watch a show called Battle of the Opera Stars. When CatDog walk back home after getting snacks for the show, Dog notices that someone had used his hydrant. He is determined to figure out who did it by staying next to his hydrant until the trespasser returns. Dog tells Cat that if he's in such a hurry, he can sniff for the trespasser. Cat help looks for him until the Greaser Dogs notice he sniffed for them, and they beat him up besides Dog who is still looking for the trespasser. Cat ends up missing his show and Winslow sells tickets to people to watch it. Winslow ends up burning the house down as Cat is helpless to do anything but watch. Meanwhile, Dog discovers and believes the trespasser is the firefighter's Dalmatian puppy. The puppy blames Dog for messing with his hydrant then lunges at Dog. But the puppy accidently attacks Cat biting him on the nose. The puppy and the firefighters leave, also leaving CatDog's house to burn to the ground. At the end of the episode, Cat seemingly loses his mind as he crazily laughs at everything that happened to him in the episode while Dog somehow feels guilty for waiting at that hydrant for nothing.

- This episode is hated by fans of the series due to the mistreatment Cat gets and Dog being out of character acting like a jerk, without being punished for it.
