Mervis is one of CatDog's best friends and the secondary tritagonist of CatDog.
He is usually seen with Dunglap. They showed up together at CatDog's house for the party Cat was throwing in "Party Animal". Also another good friend of CatDog's. Mervis works as a paperboy in "Fistful of Mail!". He's also a box licker for thr Kavity Krunch Cereal factory along with Dunglap and CatDog. Even though he and Dunglap are friends, they are often seen fighting with each other.

- Mervis' last name is said by Dunglap in "Beware of Cliff" after he gets a wedgie on a nearby doorknob: "Mervis Pantry, creator of the auto-wedgie".
- The production tag logo for Peter Hannan Productions involves a drawing of Mervis in a sheriff's outfit, with a straw of wheat in his mouth, obviously concept art. The drawing itself can be seen on Hannan's website.[1]
- He is the later CatDog counterpart of Mordecai from Regular Show on Cartoon Network.
