Plot[]
After Winslow went too far for his revenge against CatDog, they are transported to the year 3001 in the future to save the citizens of future Nearburg.

- This episode's title, "CatDog 3001", is likely an homage to the 1971 sci-fi film THX 1138.
- The plot of this episode is similar to the Futurama pilot episode "Space Pilot 3000", where the main character, Fry, falls into a cryogenic freezing pod and is frozen for the next 1,000 years. Coincidentally, this episode premiered the same day as the main setting date as the aforementioned episode.
- During its premiere, this episode aired after the SpongeBob episodes "SB-129"/"Karate Choppers".
